Is Virtual Yoga right for you?

The unprecedented events of 2020 inspired me to create this online community. The Covid-19 pandemic has changed the world as we know it forever - and brought with it the opportunity for us as human beings to unite and engage in ways unlike ever before!

After returning back to South Africa from New Delhi, India, with my family in 2019, I realized that I had no desire to continue teaching Yoga in the conventional fashion. In India, communities gather in parks or on rooftops, wherever they can find space, to share their Yoga practice and enjoy the benefits of movement combined with a sense of community - without anyone being out of pocket.

This beautiful experience changed my perception of Yoga and I have dedicated myself to making Yoga accessible to everyone, regardless of financial means. 

I offer one-on-one Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy for a reasonable fee (I have to eat!) but these group classes are, and always will be, available to the world the way Yoga should be practiced: FREE. Yoga as a lifestyle belongs to the world. It is your right to have access to it, so here it is! My gift to you.

Hi! My name is Elanie (you can just call me "El") and I am an Ayurvedic Nutritionist specializing in Weight-loss & Holistic Transformation through the practical application of food, herbs and spices as medicine. I am also a Yoga Therapist, which means that I help people overcome injuries, body limitations and self esteem issues through the practical application of Yoga and all of the practices that go along with the physical movements. 

The Science of Life

Ayurveda is a holistic healing system rooted in India that uses diet, herbs, bodywork, pranayama (breathwork), asana (yoga postures) and meditation, among other things, as medicine. So while yoga is a spiritual practice, Ayurveda is a healing system. They are two branches of the same tree. They are sister sciences. The practicing and application of Ayurveda, both by professionals and laymen alike, has become increasingly popular in the West thanks to the amazing results that people experience. 

The main focus of Ayurveda is on promoting and preserving good health through custom-creating lifestyle recommendations that are unique to each individual - and YOU are an Individual too.
